Wines & Wineries in Mallorca
Mallorca is becoming famous not only for its magnificent beaches, extraordinary weather and quality of living, but also for its wines. We hereby encourage you to get to know this side of the cube and get to know some of the wineries and furthermore visit them! You can even tour some of the vineyards by train. We can organize this for you too!
This vineyard is a mystery. Originally, or so rumours say and angel showed himself to a mallorquin peasant telling him he should plant grapes on this land. And so he did. Once the harvest was a success he placed a virgin mary in a cave by the side of the mountain (which has never been found). The famous pharmacist and university professor Michael Popp, now owner of Castell Miquel, believes the hillside or “bancales” where the vineyard spreads is perfect for this natural idiosyncrasy. The quality of the ground in addition to the views from the Castell make this place a must see.

This is a very small bodega, producing fifteen thousand bottles a year. They like many other vineyard produce olive oil. All of their product are biological giving it a special characteristic. Its grounds are embedded in the heart of the Tramuntana Mountain in Esporles. If you look for a place without the “touristic” label upon it. This is the one. One of the owners will do the wine tasting himself.
